Fortín La Murallada guards the entrance to Puerto Santa Maria's harbor. The imperial soldiers stationed there can keep an eye to the sea from the garita, and defend the town using the fort's cannons and mortars if necessary. The fort's magazine is well protected, with a track and hoist system to bring the powder to the guns. A working portcullis protects the harbor entrance, while massive oak doors guard the landward side. The castellan can keep an eye on his troops from his office balcony atop the well-stocked armory.
Inspired by El Cañuelo fort in Puerto Rico, this model is built and is designed to connect to the Dockside Market model (see below). There are removable sections to allow access to the interior sections. The base is designed in three detachable sections. This is my largest model thus far, and completes the waterfront of the town. I hope you like it, and if you build it, let me know!
